Women’s Day is a day of the year which is dedicated to the success, charm and sometimes, hardship endured by the millions of women all around the world. The day is celebrated by each and everyone to cheer the unique role a woman plays in all our lives.
Be it a mother, a wife, a colleague, a friend or a relative… we just can’t imagine a life without them and that’s why there is a special day reserved to salute their role.
Bollywood stars tell us their thoughts on celebrating this special day:
“I really don’t think we need a day to celebrate a woman. If yes then we should also have a men’s day. We live in egalitarian world. We don’t need a specific day to celebrate us. I think every day is special and the day you’re born is a great day. I celebrate womanhood.”
“To me every single day is women’s day. Women seem to excel in everything they do. The balance of the male chauvinistic world is slowly tilting.”
“I really don’t know why men think that women are physically weaker. When women can endure the pain of giving birth to another life, then why are we treated as the physically weaker sex?”
“Women’s Day is a celebration of my being. Women don’t need any inspiration. They should inspire themselves each day as it comes.”
“As independent, as strong, as complete human being as all of us; so it’s silly to say that I believe in woman power; I mean what is there to say in that.”
“I believe that everyday is women’s day I don’t think we need a special day to celebrate that because all women are special.”
