The much-awaited Bollywood awards show ‘Filmfare Awards 2009′ have been announced and are scheduled to happen Yash Raj Studios in Andheri on February 28th. For the first time, Idea Cellular will be sponsoring the show and the mobile platform will be used for promotions and broadcasting.
The nominations have been announced and they are no different from the ones already selected by previous awards shows. Ghajini is the favourite for the Best Film award and A Wednesday will be looking forward to multiple wins. In the Best Actor category, my choice is certainly Hrithik Roshan for his work in Jodhaa Akbar.
“Meanwhile, at the press interaction, the media made the most of the opportunity to quiz all those associated with the awards. While Filmfare editor Jitesh Pillai sportingly fended off accusations of manipulations, guest Deepika Padukone underwent an inquisition on almost everything — from her love life to this year’s winners.”

I think Priyanka Chopra should win the Best Actress award. She did a fabulous job in Fashion and was the main reason for the hit performance by the movie besides the storyline.
And ya… we’ll be looking forward to some beautiful performances by various celebrities during the show. Last year, SRK and Saif did a funny job on the podium.
