Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan has said in a recent interview that he doesn’t regret denying the role offered to him in the much-acclaimed Danny Boyle movie Slumdog Millionaire. He was reportedly offered to play the quiz-show host, which was later portrayed by Anil Kapoor.
“No. I know Danny felt bad about it. But he is such a good human being. And his love for India is something very special. After I saw the film, I thought Anil had done a fabulous job and deserves every bit of the success.”
SRK has just returned from Los Angeles after attending the prestigious Golden globe awards. He was invited by the organizers to present the drama-category award. Karan Johar accompanied him to the function.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh showed his real persona recently when he committed to bear all the expenses of the operation of two Kashmiri orphan children, who were burned during a terrorist attack in Srinagar. They were shifted to Mumbai for better treatment.
“He has made it clear – ‘no limits’ – to the expenses for treating Mudassar and Amina,” Ali Irani, the head of department, physiotheraphy & sports medicine at Nanavati Hospital, Vile Parle, told IANS.
