Bollywood Baadshah Amitabh Bachchan revealed on his blog today that he’s been sleeping with a revolver under his pillow for the past two days because of the recent terrorist attacks in the city.

“Last night, as the events of the terror attack unfolded in front of me I did something for the first time and one that I had hoped never ever to be in a situation to do. Before retiring for the night, I pulled out my licensed .32 revolver, loaded it and put it under my pillow. For a very disturbed sleep.”

Popularly known as ‘angry young man’ because of his roles in a variety of hit movies, Amitabh spent the whole day watching news and looking at the terrible events as they unfolded. He was one of the first Bollywood celebrities to react to the terror attacks.

“My pain has been the sight and plight of my innocent and vulnerable and completely insecure countrymen, facing the wrath of this terror attack.”

Actress Sharmila Tagore said she felt like her house was burning when she saw the 105-year old heritage Taj Mahal Hotel burning on TV.

“When I came to Mumbai, I stayed in the Taj Mahal hotel for a very long time,” Tagore said. “So when I saw the hotel burning, I felt as if my house is burning.”
