The Lakme India fashion week that has just kicked off in the fashion capital Mumbai, has, literally, taken the city by storm! Check out Lakme India Fashion Week 2008 backstage scenes, Bollywood stars and the latest designs here.

The top names from the fashion world like Arjun Khanna, Manish Malhotra, Neeta Lulla and Narendra Kumar Ahmed showcased their designs and the who’s who of Bollywood and fashion industry cheered them on.

The third day of the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) 2008 in the showbiz capital Mumbai saw designers playing with different shades of Pastel pink colour. Specially, designer Narendra Kumar Ahmed bowled the audiences over at the Lakme Fashion Week with a fusion line inspired by the pink city of Jaipur.

“The story of this collection was about lost romance. A romance that everybody has in their lives but forget sometimes and it suddenly reappears in people’s lives when they are doing something else. It is about a torrid love for 15 minutes and then you run back to your own life,” said Kumar.

The fashion extravaganza has already seen a lot of our very own Bollywood stars in support for the various designers.

Darsheel Safary became the show stopper for Neeta Lulla’s fashion showcase.

Sexy actress Kangana Ranaut showcased the Narendra Kumar Ahmed collection in very pretty dresses. The actress with curly hair set the stage on fire as she walked the ramp dressed in an off-shoulder embroidered top with a bright reddish-maroon skirt. She surely seemed to have made all the right moves if the crowd-cheering was anything to go by. Looks like all the training which Kangana recently underwent for Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion, seems to have finally paid off!

Bollywood’s latest teen heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor had yet another debut of sorts when the handsome actor, who impressed one and all with his acting prowess in Saawariya, took the ramp for the first time. Ranbir, looking dapper in an ethnic ‘sherwani’, walked the ramp for his good friend, designer Arjun Khanna.
