Brett Lee is set to shoot for a cameo in a Bollywood cricket movie “Victory” next year, thanks to his fresh looks and his fame as a fast bowler.
Brett Lee has earlier expressed his desire to act in an Indian film when he was in Mumbai to make an appearance for a NGO. He is already the brand ambassador for many companies selling watches, mobile phones, breakfast cereals, sports drinks and cricket bats.
Although the details of the film are not yet known, a report in the ‘Sunday Telegraph‘ said the tearaway pacer will do a day-long shoot for the movie next year.
“There’s no question Brett is among the most marketable athletes in Australian sport,” Lee’s agent Neil Maxwell, who is himself a former cricketer, was quoted as saying by the newspaper.
Lee is set to become the richest man in Australian cricket after inking his latest deal with Channel 7 (as his 15th sponsor) and is said to pocket $3 million from cricket and endorsements, this year only.
This is definitely a good time for Lee’s career but he’s not letting himself get carried away with the money and fame.
“Looking back, it was the best move I ever made. The money and the status hasn’t changed me. Everyone in my eyes is equal. I don’t think I’m better than the average bloke who goes to work every day,” he said.
We’ll have to wait for the next year to see if he can blow away the Box Office with his “dialogue deliveries”.
