Malyalam superstar Meera Jasmine has, reportedly, revealed that she would not marry Mandolin maestro U. Rajesh till her on-going film commitments are over.
“I’ll not marry for two years, uncle,” she, reportedly, told a well known producer of Kerala, whom she respects.
The revelation came on the heels of widespread rumors regarding her imminent marriage.
Meera said right now she has many Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films to complete. This should ease up things a bit because she was indeed loosing roles due to her much publicized love affair. Just recently, director Vijayakumar, who was planning to cast her in his forthcoming film ‘Payanigal Gavanathirku’, has now decided to cast Priyamani in the movie.
Producers tended to fear that she would go out of the project at any point of time because of the love. They also had to quicken the work on movies because of her marriage. But now, at least for some time, they can relax.
Meera next plays mega star Mammootty’s lady love in Shaji N Karun’s much-talked-about film Kutty Shranku.
The highest paid southern actress won the National Film Award for Best Actress in 2004 for her role in 2003 Malayalam film Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilaapam.
