The much hyped speculation has come to an end with Aishwarya Rai telling the media that she has been signed up for the Rs.1 billion mega-project Robot.
She will be paired with southern super-star Rajnikant and the film is directed by Shankar, who had earlier casted the beautiful lady in 1998 flick Jeans.
“They are super entertainers, independently and together…Recently he (Shankar) approached me and gave me the narration and I was like, ‘you know, we could work this out, I’m still working on my dates’. But if Shankar has confirmed, then it’s cool. We will be on board,” Ash said in an interview to CNN-IBN.
Many had earlier speculated her being the one to sign the mega-movie but the possibility of rising star Deepika Padukone couldn’t be ruled out.
But, now that she’s officially on-board… how does she feels about working with probably the most popular Indian star worldwide?
“He is super-fascinating and intriguing to his audience. You can’t but just be fascinated by this phenomenon called Rajni sir.”
The price paid to the actress has been speculated to be Rs.1.5 crore!
The former Miss World said she has also been approached for international projects “Bhopal Movie“, a film based on the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy, and Sir Ben Kingsley’s “Shah Jahan“.
“‘Bhopal Movie’ really got me excited…but it is going through the process of scripting,” Bachchan said.
