News of Hugh Hefner’s divorce papers filed last Friday really should come as no surprise, given the fact that he and his estranged wife Kimberly, a former Playboy Playmate, have been separated for over 11 years. More on this story below.
It’s a sad ending to the marriage of Kimberly Conrad and Hugh Hefner; divorce papers filed on Friday by Hef himself in Los Angeles cite the ever popular “irreconcilable differences” as the demise of their marriage.
According to documents secured by TMZ, Hef is requesting that spousal support for Conrad should stand at $20,000 a month, acknowledging that since their separation over 11 years ago, he has already given her nearly $12 million. Hef was supporting Conrad at $40,000 a month when they split in ’98.
Conrad and Hefner were wed in July of 1989. The couple have two sons together, Marston, who is 19 and Cooper, who is 18.
Things got shaky between the two when Hef sold the home next door to the Playboy Mansion, the home Conrad shared with her sons. She sued Hefner for $4 million earlier this year, claiming she is owed the monies from the sale of the home they owned jointly.
Hefner is said to be glad to be moving on:
“I am happy to be out of the marriage. I only remained married (to Conrad) for the sake of the children, at her request. I am happy to have this behind me.”
TMZ asked the Playboy magnate if he felt he owed Conrad from the sale of the home, he stated that he owed her nothing and he had been “generous at fault”. What do you think folks?
