Former supermodel Carla Bruni and French President Nicolas Sarkozy are all set to marry, a French newspaper reported just now.
The couple, currently on a private visit to Jordan at the invitation of King Abdullah II, are believed to have set a wedding date for either February 8 or 9.
While Presidential spokesman David Martinon declined to comment on the story, but those who’ve followed the most high-profile love affaire of Europe, should not be surprised.
Carla entered in Sarkozy’s life just before Christmas 2007, when they were first snapped visiting Disneyland Paris with their respective children. Since then she has made more headlines than the President himself!
From Egypt to Jordan, her presence with Sarkozy made the paprazzis to call the trips more of a ‘romantic jaunts’ than casual holidaying.
Carla began modelling at age 19 with City Models in Paris. She gained noteriety when her name graced media as the ‘other woman’ in Mick Jagger’s life. She is heiress to a Turin-based tire manufacturing fortune and still does many runway shows. Actress Valeria Bruni Tedeschi is her sister. It has since been revealed that her biological father is a businessman called Maurizio Remmert.
