Eric Clapton was recently asked about doing a Cream Reunion tour, and he insisted that the possibility was highly unlikely. Check out pictures and video here.
Eric Clapton has rejected the idea of another Cream reunion, stating that the band has gone its separate ways. That wasn’t the case four years ago, when the Guitar God gave fans a chance to see the band perform live, with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker in London and New York.
Eric Clapton, 64, said that the chances of another reunion with Cream were slim; telling Rolling Stone
“I think I was clear that I don’t think we need to go there again. I think we’ve gone as far as we could with that,”
Clapton, still keeping an open mind, insisted that he would “never say never.” Bruce should be pleased to hear this, because he told Billboard magazine last year:
“I think there might be a chance of some more (gigs). I would like to do some more, ”cause I enjoyed it. It was very emotional. I would like another shot at it.”
Readers, what do you think? Is Eric Clapton right in not doing another reunion tour with Cream, or should he suck it up to please his fans, and do a few more gigs for old times sake? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
