Tsuyoshi was arrested today for public indecency. He was reportedly drunk and naked in the Hinokicho Park in Akasaka, Tokyo. The TV channels in Japan broadcasted the arrest with flashing bulletins, giving the news a higher priority over the on-going parliamentary session, given the high celebrity status that Tsuyoshi enjoys in Japan.

“What’s wrong with being naked?” Kusanagi reportedly yelled at a police officer who approached him.

“If the report is true, I’m immensely angry… I’ll drop him off everything related to terrestrial digital broadcasting,” Communications Minister Kunio Hatoyama told reporters. “I’ll never forgive him.”

As a biography, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi was born on July 9, 1974 in Seiyo, Ehime, Japan so his age is 34. He is a singer of the Japanese pop origin and is a member of the hugely popular Japanese idol band SNAP, former by Johnny & Associates. The members include Masahiro Nakai, Takuya Kimura, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, Goro Inagaki and Shingo Katori.

Tsuyoshi has always enjoyed a good image in Japan and is particularly famous for his ability to speak good Korean. He has made frequent visits to South Korea and has also released a CD in the language. Tsuyoshi has also appeared on various culinary programs. He owns his own TV show Chonan Gang. He is the richest member of the popular pop group.

Kusanagi has also appeared in many movies. His filmography includes Messenger, Yomigaeri, Nihon Chinbotsu, Sinking of Japan, Like a Virgin and most recently Yamanoanata.

The pop star is a huge fan of jeans and was named the “Best Jeanist” for five consecutive years till 2003.
