I stumbled upon a nice feature on Indiatimes showcasing those who made debut in Bollywood but.. somehow could not get things going on for them.
Take a look-
The Grasim Mr. India runner up (2004) turned actor made big news when he was signed to play the role played by Big B (Veeru) in Sholay in RGV’s remake of the classic. He played Raj, Ajay Devgan’s partner-in-crime in RGV Ki Aag and well, carried a single expression throughout the film.
What’s wrong with him- His dialogue delivery and most importantly choice of scripts.
This former Miss India World made her big screen debut opposite Serial Kisser Emraan Hashmi in The Train. She played the role of his wife in the film.
What’s wrong with her- Nothing.. the movie just bombed. I remember watching the movie.. and apparently there were just a few scenes worth a second look!
Yet another Grasim Mr. India winner (2005) who started out doing ads like the famous Pepsi Cafechino commercial with Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor until he got bitten by the Bollywood bug.
What’s wrong with him- The movie bombed at the box office and whatever was left.. Kareena Kapoor overshadowed the little guy.
Well.. these were some who could be the stars.. not everyone’s lucky to make a debut like Deepika Padukone.
